WO: Beueler Rheinufer, vom Chinaboot bis zum Limpericher Ufer (gegenüber vom UN Campus) – 50°44’17.1″N 7°06’47.2″E bis 50°43’22.3″N 7°07’52.5″E

Zum #Weltumwelttag gibt es am 5. Juni in Bonn (Deutschlands UN-Stadt & Gastgeberstadt des UN-Klimasekretariats UNFCCC) eine EU-Klimapakt-Veranstaltung unter freiem Himmel. Die Organisator*innen um die rheinischen EU-Klimapakt-Botschafter*innen, Parents for Future, Bonnections, FOODerstand und dem Rhein-Indus Forum sowie lokalen Umwelt- & Klimagruppen, freuen sich darauf, diesen Tag mit Euch zu feiern.

Geplant sind ein Aufräumaktion am Rhein und ein kreativer #ForNature #ForClimate Parcours auf Bonns sonniger Rheinseite in Beuel.

Zusätzlich zum Outdoor-Event wird es einen Live-Stream auf YouTube mit den Vorträgen und Impressionen der Veranstaltung geben.

Coronaschutzmaßnahmen wie das Tragen medizinscher Masken und das Einhalten von Mindestabständen sind für uns selbstverständlich.

Clean-Up-Aktion

Gemeinsam für eine saubere, gesunde und plastik-müllfreie Zukunft!

Bonner Umweltgruppen und die lokale #ForFuture Familie laden Menschen jeden Alters und Herkunft herzlich ein, sich an einer Rhein Clean-Up und Müllsammel-Aktion zu beteiligen zum 50. Weltumwelttag in der UN Stadt Bonn. Das diesjährige UN World Environment Day Motto ist “Wiederherstellung von Ökosystemen”. 

Das Clean-Up ist Teil einer kreativen #ForNature Gemeinschaftsaktion mit Aktionskunst und Info-Ständen von lokalen Umwelt- und Klimaschutz-Initiativen entlang der Beueler Uferpromenade. Alle aktuell geltenden Corona Hygiene- und Abstandsregeln müssen dabei strikt eingehalten werden.

Für die Aktion kann vorab schon mal folgender Müll gesammelt werden:

• Plastikflaschen (PET und gelbe Tonne)
• Bunte Kunststoffdeckel
• Kronkorken
• Zigaretten-Kippen
• Einweg-Becher

Bei der Clean-Up Aktion am 5. Juni (11-17 Uhr) wird es im Uferbereich drei Stationen geben zur BonnOrange Tütenausgabe und Müllsammlung in der Höhe von:

1. China-Boot (Clean Up 1)
2. Ristorante Canale Grande (Clean Up 2 Plus)
3. Limpericher Ufer, südliches Ende der Platanenallee (Clean Up 3)

Bei der zweiten Station in der Mitte wird es auch Sammelbehälter zum Recycling geben sowie Trash Art, Umweltbildung und Info-Material zur Müllvermeidung von Zero Waste Bonn, GreenPeace und anderen Initiativen.

Die Erdkugel-Skulptur des Paderborner Aktionskünstlers Arnd Drossel soll an dem Tag mit Plastikflaschen gefüllt werden. Das 2 Meter hohe Kunstwerk war bereits im März im Hofgarten aufgestellt, um über die Klimakrise und das Waldsterben aufzuklären und persönliche Versprechen für den Schutz der Mutter Erde zu sammeln. https://mypromise.earth

Mit von der Partie ist auch der Rhein Ranger, eine von dem Bonner Schauspieler Daniel Breitfelder erschaffene Kunstfigur zur Weltrettung und Einwegmüll-Bekämpfung. Daniel ist einer der Speakers am 8. Juni beim TEDx Bonn mit inspirierenden Geschichten zum Thema Nachhaltigkeit. Das Event ist virtuell und alle Talks auf Englisch. What: River-clean-up action, climate-art, outdoor parcours, keynote speeches and information booths

Where: Rhine bank Bonn-Beuel, Chinaboat to Limpericher Ufer (vis-à-vis to UN Campus) – 50°44’17.1″N 7°06’47.2″E to 50°43’22.3″N 7°07’52.5″E

There will be a EU Climate Pact outdoor activation in Bonn (Germany’s UN City & host city of the UN Climate Secreatariat UNFCCC) on June 5th , co-organized by local European Climate Pact Ambassadors, Parents for Future, Bonnections, FOODerstand, Rhein-Indus Forum and local environmental & climate groups, to celebrate #WorldEnvironmentDay .

The planning includes a Rhine Clean-Up and creative #ForNature #ForClimate parcours on Bonn’s sunny Rhine River side in Beuel.

Furthermore to the outdoor event we will have a live stream on YouTube with the keynote speeches.

Corona protection measures such as wearing medical masks and minimum distances are a matter of course for us.

Rhine Clean-Up

This World Environment Day, join #GenerationRestoration to revive and protect our ecosystems. 

Local environmental groups and the #ForFuture Family are inviting people of all ages and walks of life to participate in a Rhine Clean-Up and trash collection activity in the UN City of Bonn to celebrate the 50th World Environment Day. 

The Clean-Up is part of a bigger creative activation on the Rhine river promenade with public art and info stands of various climate and environmental protection groups. 

All current Covid19 hygiene and social distancing rules must be strictly followed. 

Ahead of the Clean-Up Day, you can already start collecting the following trash:

• Plastic bottles (PET & yellow bin waste)
• Colored plastic lids
• Bottle caps
• Cigarette butts
•  Disposable cups

On June 5th, there will be three Clean-Up stations where you can pick up BonnOrange trash bags and dispose the collected garbage (11 am – 5 pm):

1. China Boat Restaurant (Clean Up 1)
2. Ristorante Canale Grande (Clean Up 2 Plus)
3. Limperich – Southern tip of the tree allee (Clean Up 3)

At the second clean-up station in the middle, you will also find bins for separate waste collection and recycling as well as trash art, educational material on waste prevention from Zero Waste Bonn, GreenPeace and other initiatives.

The nearby globe sculpture of the German public artist Arnd Drossel will be filled with plastic bottles to raise awareness of plastic pollution in rivers and oceans. His 2m high sculpture was already set up at the Hofgarten this spring to encourage people to take action on climate change and pledge to take care of Mother Earth. https://mypromise.earth/
The Rhine Ranger (aka Daniel Breitfelder) will also take part in the collective activation to revive and protect our ecosystems. The Bonn-based actor is one of the TEDx Bonn speakers on June 8th. The TEDx is a virtual event that will present inspiring stories of sustainability. All talks are in English.
